Cracked and pitted foundation

Why does my foundation look pitted and cracked. - You may have noticed divots or pitting in your stoops or concrete. Why does this happen? When there are any cracks in your concrete surface, this allows water to enter below that surface and once that water expands it pops the surface aggregate out leaving divots. Sometimes when concrete is poured, it has excess moisture which speeds this process up. Not much can be done with your sidewalk or driveway when you have this issue but when its on your foundation or stoop, you can grind it out, clean it with a wire brush and reapply a special masonry product. This repair won't last forever but its an affordable option to pitted concrete.
